Keppel is proud to be a Prime Sponsor of the Singapore Pavilion which showcases Singapore’s transformation story and what the Singapore Government and companies are doing to contribute to a more sustainable, resilient and liveable city.
The theme of the Singapore Pavilion resonates with Keppel’s mission to provide solutions for sustainable urbanisation, focusing on four key areas comprising energy & environment, urban development, connectivity and asset management.
Keppel is committed to sustainability and supporting climate action, and has been contributing to sustainable urbanisation in many Asian cities. One example is leading the Singapore consortium in the development of the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City (Eco-City) in China. The Eco-City is a bilateral cooperation project between the governments of Singapore and China, where Keppel’s diverse capabilities are brought together to transform it from formerly saline and alkaline wasteland into a highly liveable, smart and sustainable community. Keppel is also involved in renewables, waste to energy plants, desalination plants and other solutions that contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Through its involvement in the Singapore Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai, Keppel hopes to contribute to the international sustainable development agenda.
The theme of the Singapore Pavilion resonates with Keppel’s commitment to sustainability and our mission to provide solutions for sustainable urbanisation. Beyond running our business in an environmentally responsible manner, we see sustainability as a business and envisage Keppel playing a significant role in helping businesses and communities around the world become more sustainable through the diverse solutions that we provide, including smart and sustainable cities, renewables, environmental solutions and green data centres.Mr Loh Chin Hua, CEO, Keppel Corporation
